Dr. Nazlee Siddiqui
President
Dr. Nazlee Siddiqui is an academic and a coordinator of Health Service Management course within the Department of Business and Economics at University of Tasmania. She has a PhD in health management and about 20 years of teaching experience across Australia and Bangladesh. Dr. Siddiqui has led a portfolio of research, teaching, and industry engagement, reflecting success in leadership and management capacity development. Notably, she has been a co-investigator on collaborative projects with Australian Government Health Bodies, worth AUS$3.1 million. Her work contributes to integrated care and enhances organisational practices for more capable employees and leadership excellence. At the international front, Dr. Nazlee has been publishing about services management and scholarship of teaching and learning in Bangladesh healthcare and education.
Indrilla Haque
Vice President
Indrilla Haque is a Federal Government employee with experience across international and multinational organisations in Australia and Bangladesh. She was the first female Marketing Manager of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), where she successfully managed major international cricket events, including the Bangladesh–New Zealand ODI series and the India–Bangladesh–Sri Lanka Tri-Series. Passionate about event management and community engagement, Indrilla combines her professional expertise with her commitment to serving multicultural communities. She is dedicated to fostering inclusion, empowering communities, and creating positive social impact. Indrilla holds double Master’s degrees in Accounting and Business Administration.

MD S. I. B Amit is a State Government employee in NSW. He has over 15 years of Customer Service experience in both the private and public sectors. MD accomplished his Master of Commerce degree in Professional Accounting back in 2012. MD is also a registered Justice of the Peace (JP).

Dr. Nahid Siddiquie
Advisor
Dr. Nahid Siddiqui is one of the most popular psychiatrists in our community in Sydney. Dr. Nahid has trained extensively in the Australian public sector, which has given her expertise in patient care management for psychotic illnesses such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and early psychosis. Complex trauma and women’s mental health from culturally diverse populations are her special interests. Dr. Nahid Siddiqui is an experienced mental health staff specialist within NSW Health and provides private inpatient care at Ramsay Clinic Thirroul.
Dr. Sabrin Farooqui

Dr. Sabrin Farooqui – a member of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) and is currently a Councillor for Cumberland City Council in Sydney and an elected member of the NSW ALP Policy Forum.
Dr. Sabrin Farooqui is a passionate community advocate for social justice and cultural diversity. She is a Founding Member, and the current President of Cultural Diversity Network Inc. Dr Sabrin Farooqui was awarded the Order of Australia Medal OAM at the 2024 Australia Day ceremony on Friday 26 January.
Farzanah Chowdhury

Farzanah Chowdhury is a Chartered Insurer (ACII, UK) and the Managing Director & CEO of Green Delta Insurance PLC, a pioneer in Bangladesh’s non-life insurance sector. She has led innovations in digital, micro, and crop insurance, along with women-focused financial solutions. Under her leadership, Green Delta has expanded into investment banking, healthcare, and skill development. Recognised as a UN Global Compact Local SDG Pioneer (2016), she also serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK) and sits on the boards of Bata and Linde Bangladesh. Her accolades include “Woman Leader of the Year” (2019), “Best CEO – Insurance” (2022), and the CII UK Public Trust Award.
Farzanah holds an MBA from Monash University and a Master’s in Finance from the University of Dhaka, and is currently pursuing her FCII (UK). As a mentor and advocate for sustainability, ESG, and women’s financial inclusion, her insights will be invaluable to ABWLI’s mission of empowering women leaders and change-makers.
Dr. Shamaruh Mirza

Dr. Shamaruh Mirza is a Bangladeshi Australian scientist also the founder of Sitara’s Story has been enthusiastic about supporting other women and empowering them to be the best version of themselves. Dr. Shamaruh has recently received the Australian of the Year award. She completed her PhD and Post Doctoral research in Medical Science and Biophysics, respectively, from the Australian National University.

Naaz F Ahsan, an extraordinary individual whose diverse professional journey has been marked by a commitment to social justice and global impact. With experience working at esteemed institutions such as UN Women in Singapore, the Macquarie Bank, and the German Ministry, Naaz brings a unique blend of international perspective and strategic expertise to our organisation. Naaz has a journalism degree from London School of Journalism and a master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from the Australian National University (ANU). Her background in journalism, coupled with her hands-on experience in various sectors, positions Naaz as a driving force behind our objective to effect positive change on a global scale.
